Tony Taylor, also known as, DJ TonyT, has been entertaining people all of his life.  He started in the 1970’s when he taught Ballroom Dancing for the Jacksonville Branch of Dance America.  Teaching everything from the Waltz to the Hustle.  He moved on from there and became a “Little Bit Country” when teaching and performing Clogging.  From the early 80’s to the late 90’s, over twenty years of toe-tapping fun.  Tony traveled around the United States performing with The J-Ville Cloggers and The Jacksonville Footwork Cloggers.  He even performed at the 1984 World’s Fair in New Orleans, Louisiana and made his national television debut performing on the Wild Horse Saloon in Nashville, Tennessee.  Tony gave up clogging at the end of the 90’s but that didn’t last long.  After attending a friend’s wedding and listening to a bad DJ try to entertain at the reception he thought, “I can do this!” And as the saying goes, “A star was born!”  and he’s been cranking out the hits at wedding and special events since 2003.

Tony attended Ed White High School in Jacksonville, Florida.  During his years there he performed in the Chorus and he moved on to dancing after he graduated in 1977.  As for his business and personal life, Tony works in the IT field at EverBank that is headquartered here in Jacksonville.  While working together at a local manufacturing plant, he met and married his wife, Susan in 1981.  They have been happily married for 26 years and are still going strong.  They have two sons, Jordan and Josuah.  Oh, and two dogs, Mazie and Kain.
